Jubilee 2025 for Kids

Year of Jubilee

Pilgrims of Hope

Every 25 years, the Catholic Church celebrates a special event known as the ‘Year of Jubilee,’ and 2025 marks one of those years! Of course, we want our youngest to join in on the action!

Year of Jubilee Activities

The theme for this years Jubilee is Pilgrims of Hope. Below are activities that connect the many characteristics that will mark the celebration.

Pilgrimage

A ‘journey’ to a sacred place marked by prayer, celebrations, learning, nature and friends along the way.

Mini Pilgrimage

Why not create a ‘mini-pilgrimage’ in your school or church grounds?

Pilgrim Shell

Shells are one of the symbols used to mark the way for pilgrims. Create your own special shell for your own pilgrimage.

Pilgrim Passport

Why not create a ‘mini-pilgrimage’ in your school or church grounds?

Pilgrim Footprints

Create a pilgrim footprints poster to remind you of the journey towards Jesus

Holy Door

Usually the end point of a Year of Jubilee pilgrimage. The Holy Door reminds us that Jesus is the door, he is the one who makes a way for us to experience life in all its fullness.

Jesus said, 'I am the Door'

Create your own reminder of stepping through the door, asking God to help us leave our failings behind.

Reconciliation

Forgiving and being forgiven!

Forgiveness Activity

In this year of Jubilee we are reminded to think about the things we might need to say sorry for so we can recieve God's mercy and grace to start again.

Prayer

Spending time with God every day, learning to listen to him as well.

Hope Prayerful Colouring

The theme of the year of Jubilee is "Pilgrims of Hope." Use the prayerful colouring as a way to reflect on what it means to be hopeful.

Finger Labyrinth

Just like a pilgrimage, using a labyrinth is a way of slowing down to spend time with God.

Family Prayer

We invite you to print off the Jubilee Prayer, adapted with kids in mind, from the official Jubilee prayer. Place it in a central place in your home, ministry space or classroom.

Profession of Faith

Spending time with God every day, learning to listen to him as well.

Jubilee Party

This Jubilee PARTY is a fun way to celebrate the year and to help the kids you care for understand that being a pilgrim is no just for the disciples or the saints, but for everyone!

I Believe Cards

Learn about the Apostles Creed

2025 Canonisations

This year during the year of Jubilee there are two saints who are going to be canonised. These two people were pilgrims of Hope in their own journeys and are great examples of how to grow closer to Jesus. Check out the two activities below for Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati.

Carlo Acutis

Carlo Acutis had a strong dedication to the Eucharist. Learn more by downloading the activity below.
