Encounter Northside
Who we are.
Encounter Northside is a weekly youth group hosted at Our Lady of the Angels’ Catholic Parish, Chermside under Archdiocesan Ministries. Our purpose is to lead as many young people as possible to encounter Jesus and live the Gospel.
We see a generation of young people who draw their strength from Jesus Christ and find life in his Church. We have a vision for young people who know that the Church is their home, who are hungry to grow in their relationship with the one who loves them most and who are drawn into an ever-deepening encounter with Jesus. We dream of a Church where young people are encouraged to foster their gifts, discover their purpose, form a relationship with Jesus and be convicted by the call on their life to become the face and heart of Jesus in our world.
WHAT DOES ENCOUNTER LOOK LIKE?
If you are in highschool years 7-12 Encounter is for you! Here at Encounter we want you to know that you BELONG. It’s a home for connection and a place where young people can experience and know God’s love, grace, peace and hope in every part of life. We want you to be empowered to ask questions and live a life of faith; and be connected with other young people who are on the same journey!
Encounter happens EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT of the school term! We’re from 6:30PM – 8:30PM. Join us for a night of games, great music, delicious food, an engaging speaker and small groups. We are located at St Gerard Majella Catholic Church (146 Maundrell Terrace, Chermside West 4032)
